Many have wondered how my film projects have been going. Our film For Flow has been selected to the Texas Black Film Festival with our film debuting this Friday, February 25th at 6pm. We are also pleased to announce that For Flow received an Honorary Award of Excellence from the Canada International Film Festival and nominated for Best Short Film! On the project For Flow, I was the Executive Director and Production Manager.
Overall, the project was quite challenging, yet fulfilling in many ways. For one, we were working with teams distributed between Chicago, NYC, and LA. Secondly, we only had two days to shoot the film, a challenging endeavor because it required perfect conditions. But, we had far from perfect conditions to shoot. It rained the entire two days! Doing an outdoor shoot without lighting kits and a ton of overcast usually spells disaster, but we were lucky enough to get all that we needed done. Our Director, Jason Camp, Writer/Producer Kesav Wable, and fellow Producers Steve Smith and Randall Sawyer, did a great job with what we were given. Despite the distributed teams from the West to East coast, we worked great as a team. We had instant chemistry and I think it showed with our final product. Great to see it all come together.
Here’s our trailer, if you haven’t checked it out.
